The SLS arrived for modeyl year 2010 as AMG’s first clean-sheet design, conceived as a modern homage to the 300 SL “Gullwing” and built around an aluminum spaceframe with signature upward-opening doors. A halo grand tourer of the era, the coupe paired classic long-hood proportions with contemporary motorsport engineering, including a rear transaxle layout and carbon-fiber driveshaft to optimize weight distribution. Dry-sump lubrication with an external oil reservoir supports high-performance operation, while forged double-wishbone suspension, speed-sensitive power steering, and AMG cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes provide sure-foot stopping power. Inside, power-adjustable heated seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, an AMG leather and Alcantara-finished steering wheel, and Bluetooth/navigation-enabled COMAND infotainment fill out the cabin. Its $6,400 B&O Performance audio incorporates 11 speakers, 1,000-watt output, and an ICEpower amplifier w/digital signal processing.

 

Additional factory amenities include a rearview camera, blind-spot monitoring, seat memory, an Alcantara headliner and door trim, and headlamp washers. Removable red wheel edge protectors and a steering wheel cover are currently fitted, and a clean Carfax report accompanies the car. Included in the sale are two key fobs, factory literature, a Mercedes-Benz battery tender, and car cover, rounding out this low-mileage example of AMG’s celebrated modern Gullwing.
