This 1977 Maserati Bora 4.9 stands as one of just 250 examples of the marque’s Tipo AM117/49 coupe. Its Giorgetto Giugiaro styling is finished in Argento and distinguished by the model’s signature stainless steel roof, Nero Connolly leather and Rosso carpets fill out the cabin. The seller reports no known paintwork, with the body remaining free of dents, dings, and displaying exemplary panel alignment with tight door closures. At each corner, 15” Campagnolo alloy wheels are reported to be free of marks, and the glass, bumpers, and trim as presenting well. Amenities of the era and period equipment include air conditioning, power windows, a solid-state FM radio, and pop-up headlights.

Mid-mounted behind the cockpit, a 4.9-liter DOHC V8 breathes through four Weber 42 DCNF carburetors, equipped with Bosch electronic ignition. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed ZF transaxle, while four-wheel independent suspension—a first for Maserati’s production cars—and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes underscore the Bora’s sophisticated engineering. The car also incorporates Maserati’s Citroën-derived high-pressure hydraulic system. Recent maintenance reported by the seller includes replacement of the complete clutch assembly as well as a complete accumulator service and rebuild stated to carry a 10-year service life. Its Goodyear Eagle VR60 tires were also replaced within the past two years. The seller describes the car as exceptionally clean and dry from top to bottom, including the undercarriage, with no leaks or loose components noted.
