1967 Ford Mustang GT500CR 900S 572ci 6-Speed

Commissioned as a one-of-one build by the owner of Classic Recreations, this 1967 Ford Mustang GT500CR 900S is distinguished as the only 572ci big block-powered example produced by the Oklahoma-based restorer. Finished in Pepper Grey over a black interior, the car underwent an extensive three-year build raising the bar as Eleanor’s big brother. Its massive naturally aspirated Ford Racing crate engine is rated at 655 horsepower and pairs with Tremec six-speed manual shifting alongside a Fab 9 Positraction rear end. Multi-port electronic fuel injection (MPFI) professionally set up by Jason Wheeler of The Outlaws—not a Holley Sniper throttle-body system—provides high-flow fuel delivery. Downstream, free-breathing BBK long-tube headers feed Magnaflow 2.5-inch dual exhaust while a BeCool aluminum crossflow radiator and dual 13-inch electric fans provide uprated cooling.

All-motor power meets a thoroughly modernized chassis featuring power rack-and-pinion steering, a polished Flaming River tilt steering column, CR Mustang II front coilovers, a Total Control G-Link rear coilover system, front and rear Total Control sway bars, and tubular subframe connectors. Wilwood brakes bring six-piston calipers and 14-inch two-piece slotted and cross-drilled rotors all around, complemented by an adjustable rear proportioning valve. Staggered-width Shelby 427 wheels measure 18x10 inches up front and 18x12 inches at the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Authentic Carroll Shelby fiberglass bodywork, GT500CR emblems, sequential taillights, a Le Mans-style racing fuel cap, and a cosmetic roll bar complete its iconic aesthetic.

Inside, Carroll Shelby Scat Rally Series 1000 seats are joined by G-Force Racing five-point camlock harnesses, white-face Carroll Shelby Signature gauges and 200-mph speedometer, a woodgrain aluminum steering wheel, Deluxe 1967-style door panels and dash trim, plus a GT500CR console and floor mats. Air conditioning, touchscreen infotainment w/Apple CarPlay, Kicker audio, and a custom subwoofer enclosure fill out fully modern comforts. Beneath the surface, an 18-gallon Stealth fuel cell, VaporWorx twin-pump system, trunk-mounted Optima battery, and a Painless 12-circuit wiring harness offer reliable performance.
